Walk in God's Favour

*WALK IN GOD’S FAVOUR EVERY DAY ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

Psalm 102:13 NIV “You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.”

“Why was it only Noah and his family that were saved?” You’ve probably read the story of Noah and the flood and asked this question or pondered on it. The answer is simple; the Bible says in Genesis 6:8 AMPC, “But Noah found grace (favor) in the eyes of the Lord.” That’s why when God decided to destroy the earth by flood, He instructed Noah to build an ark to protect him from the deluge. As it rained, it didn’t matter the extent of the flood and the destruction it left in its wake for the people of the world; the same waters bore Noah’s ark up. He didn’t have to bother about the flood because he was in favour with God. Romans 5:17 lets us know that God has granted us abundance of grace, meaning we’re in favour with Him.

Accordingly, you’re expected to live and walk with the consciousness of one who’s favoured of the Lord. No matter what happens in the world, refuse to fret; you’re not of the world. Maintain this consciousness, or otherwise, you’ll be walking against the Word of God without realizing it, thereby exposing yourself to unnecessary challenges, difficulties and frustrations, because you’re not living in the consciousness of God’s favour.

Walking in favour doesn’t mean that the flood will not come. Remember, He warned Noah ahead of the flood and instructed him to build an ark and stay in the ark. It would have been foolish for Noah to pray against the water instead of acting on the Word to build and remain in the ark. Live in the Ark of God—His Word—and you’ll never be disadvantaged in life because you’ve found favour with the Lord.

Some think that if everything is all right, then they’ll find favour with God; no. It’s the favour of God in your life that makes everything all right, and not the other way round. God wants you to have this consciousness, the awareness that nothing is designed to work against you! No matter what happens, you can always win, because you’re the object of God’s overwhelming love and supernatural grace.

What God will do through us if we would truly pray declaring his word said to us is huge. Acts1:14  Acts4:24-34 One of the reasons people don't prosper is because they don't pray, The seeds, tithe, offering won't produce results if you don't pray.  Relationship is key to prayer Luke11:6-8 How did Jesus pray Hebrews5:7 He prayed with full intensity.

What is Grace ?

Grace is the divine influences on the heart of a man that is reflected or expressed outwardly. Divine influence meaning divine impartation in the heart(spirit) of a man. When you receive God's word and injest it into your spirit, what it becomes is grace. When you get imparted with grace it changes how and what you do things.  Grace - greek Karis Grace here refers to the divine influence on the heart reflected in life, reflected on the outward expression. In other words it is the outworking of an inward influence, the divine influence in your heart. Divine that means it got to do with deity "God". So the Lord impresses upon your heart through his word and the Holy ghost. And whatever is deposited by that influence is seen on the outside.  The Grace of God cannot be seen until you see what it produces. When the divine influence works out within a man's spirit there are things that you see outwardly: 1. Acceptability. nature responds to you with working in your life. ...

James 3:5 Learning to tame your tongue is very important. The tongue, as small as it is, can do the greatest good or harm depending on how you use it.
